Long Drive - Singur, Barrackpore Gandhi Ghat, Diamond Harbour, Serampore(Srirampur), Belur, Gorifa

Tata Nano Singur Plant       After buying my first car I have hardly traveled or used my car which has the 3rd free service due on March this year(2010), so I decided to visit tourist spots near Kolkata where road conditions are good for driving  and safe as well. Kolkata and surrounding places are slowly getting connected with good wide roads as National Highway Authority constantly making an effort to provide better road connectivity. Criteria of selection was minimum traffic, roads having divider which enables a smooth and safe drive and reaching and coming back from that place hardly takes five hours as I planned to travel at after-noon time and coming back by sunsets at evening.

Obesity - The World Wide Health Problem
Health and Medicine
Written by ANIMESH LAHIRI

Obesity –The World Wide Health ProblemObesity is something almost all of us experience after we reach wrong side of forty. An average Indian boasts (?) of a healthy pot belly. In fact it is rare to find a man who does not have a weight problem.

In scientific terms obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health, leading to reduced life expectancy and/or increased health problems.

Obesity increases the likelihood of various diseases, particularly heart disease, type-2 diabetes, breathing difficulties during sleep, certain types of cancer, and osteoarthritis. Obesity is most commonly caused by a combination of excessive dietary calories, lack of physical activity, and genetic susceptibility, although a few cases are caused solely by genes, endocrine disorders, medications or psychiatric illness.

Rajarhat Newtown City Centre - (CC2)
Real Estate

Rajarhat Newtown City Centre (CC2)Yesterday I have visited CC2 after the opening on last saturday. Thought this is the right time to visit and capture images of the mall before it becomes crowdy on coming days. Took the other route from Saltlake side and reached the place. The entrance and the basement parking facility are spacious and huge. May be its because of the early days and crowd is very less. Still I comfortably able to park the car with my very in-experienced driving and parking skills. For your information the parking charge is free. Don't know how long this facility will be available.

Andromeda GalaxyWhen I was young I got hold of a book called ‘Children's Encyclopedia'. One of the chapters , which dealt with cosmos, deeply interested me. I decided I will know more about this when I grow up.

In 1986 there was some excitement because Halley's comet returned after 76 years. A friend called me up and asked me to come to Rajabajar science college saying a telescope was being set up to view the comet. I was excited. When I arrived there I saw a pipe like object standing .I later knew it was a 3˝  refractor telescope. Although we tried a lot to locate Halley's comet that night we did not find it because nobody had a clue where to look at the sky.

Procedure for Maturity Claim if Policy Lost
Business and Finance

Insurance Claim on MaturityI had a LIC Money Back policy which was done by my parents to save income-tax 12 years back. As the agent was not known to me and lives far away from my home, we were never in contact with that person after my father's demise. But I kept paying the premium online in time . When I received the letter from LIC on policy maturity, I found the main document required for the whole procedure is the policy bond itself is missing.

Maruti Suzuki A Star Silky SilverCar is something I was always passionate for from my very childhood. So when I finally got enough encouragement from my mother I started figuring out which car will fit my budget with maximum power under its hood. I was looking for a small but  a powerful car to have the provision of speed on the highway when required with good mileage.
