The recent price hike will not affect the middle class much as the overall economy is growing with the development took place at a stupendous speed. This will encourage people to work harder to acheive the goal they running for and spending habbit.

one guy - this is not so simple that you IP:121.247.128.43 | 2008-06-10 08:26:17
Hi, this is not so simple that you have described in your blog. This price rise will greatly affect the whole country where 70% of the population lives under poverty line. The vast number of farmers also get affected as you already said. So tough time is ahead.
tintin - I cannot agree with you anymor IP:121.247.128.43 | 2008-06-10 08:27:34
I cannot agree with you anymore on this issue! This has effected the US so gruesomely that, thoday in Election Campaign it is the topmost concern for the leaders and policymakers. Gas price in US is above $4($4.39)per gallon that is unimaginable. Commuters have started to carpool couple of years back and now, public transportation is full of these commuters. Food prices are all time high due to high diesel prices. It's effecting American citizens (highermiddle class as well)!

What development are you talking about ? have you seen the condition of the roads , more that 50-70 percent of the villages do not have proper drinking water , hygiene and electricity , peope still use the road and the open fields as toilet , not to talk about the daily routine of load shedding ? what development are you talking about ? The definition of development is not about malls and shopping plazas coming up everywhere > how can you say that the price hike will not affect middle class ? the price of LPG has already been hiked by rs 50 , and the govt has now limited 8 cyclinders per year to households? so the govt also wants to control how much people eat ?? hello are we living in China ??
sandy - the general trend will come b Publisher | 2008-06-23 17:19:34
the trend will persist even tho that will take few months time to normalise. this is what common man made up off.they will become use to this in couple of months time and then thier spending habbit will again come to the point where they all of a sudden applied break. The demostration affect of spending more with the fasion and livelyhood in the urban population will some how manage to come out from this situation by stretching them lil more and more as human factors are very very elastic.
