Un-expected ... shocking ... all happened really too soon. I grew up watching his song and dance. And his dance really thrills me today as well. Salute !!!
Well it was surely a shock, never expected, I saw the news in net news when I put on my pc in the morning of yesterday, 26th June in msn india news. Though I had never been a great fan, (as I am quite KHONI in Western Music) but I always knew that he has created waves across the world with his new genre of Music, Understand he had offered Prabhudeva a chance to join his team also,
Pray his sould remains in PEACE.
Michael Jackson personified the impossible: Amitabh Bachchan
New Delhi: Pop legend Michael Jackson was the 'incredible perfection that god could have possibly created' and a man who personified 'the impossible', says Hindi film megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
'He (Michael) changed the very psyche of not just the kind of music he was making, but also the psyche of the listening audience. Nothing compared to him. He was just this incredible perfection that god could have possibly created in his mercy,' Amitabh posted on his blog Friday.
'His body moved like a wound up toy machine. Every conceivable action of rhythm and style was incorporated inside his diminutive form without any blemish. The exhilaration that he provided became synonymous with the ultimate. He was the impossible,' he added.
The news of 50-year-old Jackson's demise Thursday following a cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles took Amitabh down memory lane.
'In the mid 60s or thereabouts, I heard a group of pop singers who went by the name of 'The Jackson Five'...the youngest among them was this chubby cute little fellow with an extraordinary voice and a body that for his age and countenance moved exceptionally well. I found out his name was Michael - Michael Jackson.
'It was around the mid 70s that lightening struck and from it emerged this grown up version of Michael Jackson, singing, moving, dancing like he was from some other planet,' wrote Amitabh who had a chance meeting with the man himself.
The megastar's first tryst with the King of Pop, who became a rage amongst people cutting across all ages and strata, was after 1982, the year Amitabh had an accident on the sets of his film 'Coolie'.
Amitabh had gone to the US for recuperation and consultation with doctors there on his post-operative condition and happened to learn that Jackson was to perform at a concert the next day. He did everything he could to watch the show and when he finally got to experience it, he says it was 'hallucinogenic madnes'.
In the early 1990s in New York, Amitabh had Jackson knocking at his door.
'The door bell of my room in the Helmsley Palace Hotel rang and I sauntered up to open it. There as I stood in the doorway, across me, was Michael Jackson. He looked a little surprised as he turned around to those he was accompanied with and in his now well known soft voice gently spoke up - 'Oh! Excuse me! I think I have the wrong room',' said Amitabh.
Later of course, the two legends met again and 'exchanged pleasant conversation'.
'He was soft spoken, very humble and most polite. I never saw him again, but when he came to perform in Mumbai (in 1996) at the Andheri Sports Complex, Prateeksha, where I live, shook the entire night with the vibrations of all his most popular numbers booming out from the venue.
'An exceptional artist has gone. Someone that created an almost outer world experience for all of us with his art,' Amitabh wrote.
I am in a mourning state, still unable to accept the fact that MJ left us without any word! Though he spend most of the years (more than 10 years)facing legal and emotional battles but he never gave up! The King of Pop lived like a King and he deserve the best. I don't believe in the accusation he faced I loved this guy while I grew up listening to his songs which made my everyday! I can't express my shock of disbelieve and wish it was just a hoax! But alas! We are at loss, lost the Legendary Pop Icon, lost a loving soul and a wonderful human being! He was never in peace all these years and I believe God at last wanted him to live in peace! Though he will not be with us in this world anymore, but his songs, his voice, his dance, his memories are still with us! Hats off The King of Pop! RIP MJ!
There are so many other living stars and legends inspired by him that we can see a little bit of him every corner of the globe in some form than other. Specially his dance form has inspired so many other great dancers that he is there in many forms in so many other stars. I can name few of them like Mithun , Prabhudeba, Govinda. Cant say about Hriktik, but am sure he has also inspired by him some way than other.
Some say Genius Die young. True, Icons like Michael Jackson Are not born every day. A perfectionist who found perfection in dancing to lyrics to singing, who could rock the world, yet stay reclusioned from the fans, flew with the entire stage where ever he performed to give his fans every inch of him the fans waned from him, and then fainted in the back stage because of the intense heat generated from the laser lights and high voltage dancing. Guys this could be no other than the KING OF POP himself.
Words are small to describe the grief I personally am, for being a fan for last two decades or more and following his each and every move, to the extent of forming a small group of MJ dancers in High School. Words are really small to describe the loss.
The more I am hearing about his agonising last 10 years, I am having stronger feelings about the justification of his freedom from this unbearable world of him where he was sufferring from all the controversys and illness he has developed in these years. May God Bless Him .
ya, the debt, the problem with the kids, the strong dose of pain killlers, which are alleged to have doctored his fatal attack, he was truly suffering, who knows what more was there to add to his agony
1986 was blessed by MJ and hats of to Sena who took the liberty to bring him to India. MJ hired three Russian cargo plane to carry his musicians and other technical instruments for the performance. He was a perfectionist and an unique all round performer. There cannot be any substitute or another Michael Jackson borne in this universe.
I still not able to accept the fact that he is no more after seeing some recent 2-3 days old photograps and video where its clear his intensity and energy same as always while rehearsing for the comming shows.
Why not leave the man alone he is dead and cannot answer back.
He suffered enough when he was alive, please leave him alone in death.
I believe he just wanted to be loved, some of us did Michael very much and always will.
RIP.xxx

What a tragedy. This was an abused child who NEVER got the treatment he so desperately needed. I don't think he would have had his problem with children if he had gotten help in his teens. So, so sad.

I always believed that the marriage between Lisa Marie & Michael was NOT a sham. I think they truly loved each other, but he was scarred by his childhood and therefore, the marriage was doomed. But I believe Lisa when she said they were sexually active.

I am sick of reading media articles that put this wonderful singer and dancer down. He was not a freak, just a kind hearted person that was taken for a ride by people that pretended to be his friends and care for him. Also he was totally misunderstood. He missed out on his childhood forgoodness sakes. Just focus on the future not on his past and let him rest in peace.

I don't think Michael was ever interested in children in 'that way'. I think he was just so desperate to try and re-capture his lost years as a child he found that friendships with children gave him what he craved most - a sense of a normal childhood. It's not 'disgusting' as the media tried to make us believe, he was just friends with these kids. Children were his world, and like his own children, they made his world glow with happiness.
MJ was a performer. we knew him from his songs which topped the charts in the late 80's and from his remarkable dance performances in stage. The media made sure we got enough of his personal life though the projection of various allegations against the king of pop music. After his untimely death we remember his performances. It is my request to leave the man's personal life alone. We are naturally prone to be attracted to gossip and gossip oriented news. Especially if the person concerned is a celebrity. MJ had a deprived childhood and most of his childhood and youth went by in the form of public performances and music. That was not for his own pleasure, but for us, the public who are so eager to denigrate his name. Let us give a thought and applaud on of the greatest performers ever to have born. Whether his life was "black" or whether it was "white", we leave that to whoever controls justice in our lives. His undeniable contribution to music and entertainment should be lauded. His contribution to improve the lives of poverty stricken children in Africa, his love for children and life in general should be appreciated. Let us not judge him from allegations but what he meant to us, growing up as youth. What he meant as an icon and what he gave us. He is no more and after a few tortured years that he faced during the last years of his life, he deserves a rest. A rest from speculations, allegations and acerbic diatribes aimed at him. MJ led a colorful life, rocketing to fame , establishing himself as a cultural icon and then his fall from fame after numerous controversies and allegations.
He led his last few days as a pariah, a story of fame to near oblivion. His untimely death has again given us opportunities to discuss about him, praise him, and hurl accusations against him. He was what he was, but what he will always and should be always remembered for, is his contribution to the world of pop music and his revolutionary stage performances. Its time for him to rest. Let us give that to him.
Guys...I just don't have words to explain my feelings, my experience with this movie! I am thankful to Mr Ortega that he made this video and was able to show the whole world what we have not seen ever before in our lifetime and will never ever see like this one!
No one knows what was in Michael's heart and mind but he definitely would have brought the best out of him for his fans and audience he loved so much! Just feel his love, joy and excitement throughout the movie! Just watch how he danced like he was in his 20s and just observe how music was his soul and life!
I was shocked and felt around when he dance with his number one chartbuster "Billie Jeans"! God Please send MJ to us once again! I Love you and miss you MJ!!!
