Brace yourself as Google is launching Dream G1 phones! Yes, you are hearing this correct that nowthere will be a competition between the world's best and re-know phonemakers vs. Service providers. No I am not going to write about the G1 (Google phone) specification or specify about their greatness.I am a fan of Treo and thus not a head breaking fan of iPhone orBlackberry. Media is writing on the wall about T-mobile and/or Verizonwill be the first Service Provider to display the Android Prototype andthen it will take few months to sell these phones in the market.
So patience…Solace…. Peace Google and Service Providers are into talks about the phone specification before they manufacture completely. Google has also agreed to let manufacturers create devices on a common set of specifications and hope that multiple operators will offer its phone.Any time a new player enters a market (especially when it is a Google logo) it's extremely exciting because consumers will soon have more options to choose from. Their flexible approach towards branding isalso interesting, and will inevitably draw comparisons with must match Apple and AT&T.
Alteast I am exited to see this product, which will be more comparable to Blackberry and iPhones which will definitely boost the service and feature of the later ones. Selling the Android phones at the price of 8 GB iPodTouch/Classic, is a whole lot of challenge to the company. Blackberry will survive as they are more likeable by the companies but Apple might be scratching their head. Like the next ad will be "Big Boss scratching his head and asking how to fight the disease call Google Android phones which has spread in the consumer's blood."
I might like this Google feverbut then I need to sit and work out how it best suits me and my dailylife crisis. I say "Life Crisis" as USA is in crisis anyway! The Treo has many features which work better than any Blackberry or"blueberries", but then I have some dislikening with the service provider. If you love Palm and dislike any "I" related device, then Palm can be a boon for one! The Palm Treo 800 series has every thing that can give users everything they need to keep up with their hectic lifestyle. It has Wi-Fi, Outlook email, GPS and Palm shortcuts that put everything from the web to work documents right under one's fingertips. It just speeds up your life in this Internet age.
But stay tune on more to come about Google Dream phones!
